Edmond Kean, famous English actor, falls head over heels for a married woman who is also sought after by the Prince of Wales. The two become bitter rivals and Kean publicly insults the Prince. The woman’s husband, grasping the situation, challenges Kean to a duel. But the Prince, sensing a scandal, has Kean exiled while convincing the husband of his wife’s innocence. Alexandre Dumas PerŠ at his best offers a wonderful vehicle for actor Rossano Brazzi.
