Based on the true story of Elisa Girotto, a young mother who, as soon as discovered she wouldn’t had much time to see her newborn daughter Anna growing up, decided to arrange a present for each of her future birthdays, till she’d have been eighteen. It’s now Anna’s 18th birthday and it’s time to unwrap the last present, but the girl runs away from her party. Outside it’s dark and she’s suddenly hit by a car. When she wakes up, Anna finds herself in front of Elisa. Apparently, Anna is given the extraordinary chance of spending some time with the mother she’s never met, in an incredible journey full of emotions and hope.
