In the heart of Rome, within the walls of an ancient Benedictine monastery, a group of cloistered nuns preserves a centuries-old tradition: the weaving of lambs’ wool to create the Pallium, the precious liturgical vestment given to the Pope and metropolitan archbishops. A gesture of faith and devotion, meticulously repeated every year, where spirituality and craftsmanship are seamlessly intertwined. Before the wool can be woven, there are two small lives to care for. Two newborn lambs are placed in the care of Sister Vincenza, who tenderly bottle-feeds them with the same tenderness of a mother. In the silence of the monastery, their bleating blends with chants and prayers. With an intimate gaze, the documentary unveils a hidden place, suspended in time, made of prayer and work, silence and songs, where the care for small things — a stitch of embroidery, a lamb to be fed — becomes the highest act of love.
