Giovanni is a cynical and self-centered best-selling novelist who has lived a life of excess. When he finds out he has been awarded with the Nobel Prize for Literature, he plans to drive from Rome to Stockholm for the ceremony because of his fear of flying. He involves in this trip his son Oreste, a personal trainer, and his daughter Lucrezia, a blogger, too losers in his eyes.
